The fire safety of elements increases in last ten years by the development of models based on tests.\u00A0 It is calculated the temperature in compartment, the heat transfer into the structure and the resistance of the structure. Under fire is the connection exposed to degradation of material properties and heating and cooling of structure. The connections under ambient temperature are designedby component method. The joint is decomposed into components and the behaviour is assembled from the component behaviour. The utilisation of the component method for fire design is limited by knowledge of the component behaviour and by assembling procedure with loading by shear force, bending moment and normal force. The task will be solved by database of existing tests, experiments with components, connections and beam with connections at ambient and elevated temperatures, and sensitivity study"@en .
