"The objectives of the solution of project entitled %22The Limit States and Reliability of Advanced Civil Engineering Structures%22 include three basic problem fields, namely: (i) advancement of knowledge focused to design procedures and to reliability of eff"@en . . " reliability" . "2005-01-01+01:00"^^ . "The main purpose of the project proposed is the reliability promotion of steel and composite steel-concrete civil engineering and bridges structures. In steel bridges, the reliability is, to a large extent, determined by stability problems. The factors of material and geometrical character but initial imperfections above all play a very significant role. It is very important to study, for new types of steel bridges, the effects of many times repeated loadings typical for bridge structures. The purpose of the grant project is the realization of sensitivity analysis of the factors mentioned, i.e., differentiation of those that are dominating and therefore necessitating special attention. In composite steel-concrete bridges, the influence of creep and shrinkage of concrete will be studied above all. When analysing, all the building stages have to be respected according to the real timetable.
