"The project was directed to development and advances of knowledge of performance of fibre reinforced concrete structures, based on experimental research and modelling of aspects typical for quasi brittle materials and resulting into development of new pr"@en . "For realistic description of behaviour of quasi-brittle materials like concrete or fibre concrete members exposed to high level stresses, showing imperfections,of shape and material characteristics, require application of specially developed non-linearmethods. The material model should be based on idea of isotropic damage of concrete compressed without cracks and on an orthotropic mechanism of damage as soon as cracking arises. The modelling of cooperation of concrete and reiforcement must betruthful. The tensile toughness of concrete should be taken into account by means of achievement of fracture mechanics. The method must be able to describe also post critical behaviour of the structure after attainmennt of bearing capacity when moving onthe descending branch of the load - deflection diagram. A new model will be formed, which includes described properties, but the dependencies of parametres will be simulated instead of a direct mathematical expression.
