"The main goal of this project is to develop advanced surface plasmon resonance biosensor systems supporting multichannel sensing and capable of the use in field. The proposed research project involves the development of a laboratory multichannel optical biosensor system for the study of biospecific interactions between molecules in solutions and their biospecific partners immobilized on the surface of the sensor, the evaluation of the immobilization process and the study of properties of immobilized bioreceptor assemblies, and the development of advanced SPR biosensor system for field use. The biosensor hardware to be developed can be generally applicable and in conjunction with specific bioreceptors it can be used for detection of a large variety oanalytes. The resulting biosensor system will allow for fast, specific, highly sensitive and, potentially, simultaneous detection of multiple analytes.
