"The project consists in fundamental research into special communication techniques for atmospheric optical channels that is based on the modeling of optical beam propagation through the real atmosphere. The atmospheric optical transmission channel is characterized by fading and long-term and short-term interruptions of communication. The aim in the area of communication techniques mitigating the negative influence of short-term interruptions is to find a suitable method of coding, which can be practically realized using programmable digital circuits. The research will be also focus on the area of the transport layer protocols.\u00A0 A realistic statistical model of long-term interruptions will be proposed. The model will respect the dependence on wavelength with regard to the specific properties of hydrometeors and atmospheric aerosols.
