"The project is focused on the methods of detection and code synchronization of a target signal within a superposition of generally correlated signals of users sharing a communication channel. Nonorthogonality (nonzero correlelation) of signals prevents the ideal selection of a target signal and causes mutual interference referred to as a multiuser interference (MUI). The higher correlation calls for more sophisticated signal detectors which suppress MUI effectively. In the proposed project such detectors will be studied in correlated and multipath time-variable communication channel. The main attention will be concentrated on MMSE adaptive detectors including their convergence of adaptation. The principle of signal space projections will be utilized.
