"In the project, the laboratory model of vector microwave phase interferometer was developed and assembled into a measuring system. "The proposed research project is focused on quite new method for evaluation of microwave fields. The main task of the project is appropriate determination of the wavefront shape of investigated wave field on the basis of interference of this field with the reference wave field. The analysis of the interference field will be carried out using the array microwave detector. Introducing the controlled change of the phase of investigated wave field, we obtain interference signals as the output from every point of the detector. Evaluating these interference signals with suitable evaluation techniques, which will be proposed in the project, we obtain the phase values at every point of the investigated wave field. Various physical properties of investigatedmaterials can be determined from the phase values. The described method will be used for design and application of new microwave measurement systems for evaluation of physical properties of structural materials in civil and mechanical engineering.
