To secure point-to-point transmissions systems with error-correcting codes are sometimes also applied. The objective of the project is to build a laboratory where digital transmission security will be modelled in the network layer of OSI model for rates of up to 56 kbits/s. The laboratory will be arranged such that the following problems can be solved as part of the project:1. Analysis of the sufficiency of security against errors in present-day code security systems.2. Looking for points in the realized transmission circuits where transmission reliability is impaired to such a degree that improvement via a security system with error-correcting code is justified.3.
