"Technological process systems, which are applied during production of very precise components, generate in subsurface layer of finished components the residual stresses, which can expressively influence their function. The proposed project is directed tothe tracing and evaluation of stress gradient in the subsurface layer of the samples after different machining methods and to the tracing of stress changes influence on the fatigue properties. For the tests are selected carbon steel, alloy steel and aluminum alloy. The samples will be finished by milling, grinding eventually with the hardening. The results of experiments will be used for prediction of machining conditions with respect to the magnitude and direction of residual stresses in subsurfacelayers after machining.
