The project will include formulations of antimicrobial coatings containing various nano particles and other additives along with the choice of suitable methods of their testing and also formulations of the paints drying through oxypolymerization reactions with the non-toxic additives and with lower VOC content. The formulations of new anticorrosive paints including high solids paints based on polysiloxane and waterborne paints based on hybrid polymers will be another part of the suggested project. Non-toxic pigments and fillers will be used. Modern intumescent fire protective coatings based on suitable binders, nanomaterials and special additives will be developed and tested.
