"*The main aim of the three-year joint project of \u0160KODA MACHINE TOOL a.s. and RCMT, CTU in Prague is an engineering design of a new heavy-duty horizontal milling and boring machine HCW4000-CX. The machine concept will be based on a standard machine HCW3, however with significant modifications. The new machine frame will be optimized with respect to weight minimization when maintaining its static stiffness. Technical parameters of key machine subassemblies such as the ram with sliding boring spindle will be significantly improved. This will help to develop a commercially successful machine, increase the turnover of \u0160KODA MACHINE TOOL a.s. and strengthen its position on global markets and maintain its competitiveness among high-tech producers of heavy-duty horizontal milling and boring machines."@en .
