"*The project is focused on the technology of fabrication of new generation of filtration materials, based on nanofibers with nanoparticle-formed catalysts. These materials shall be used for development and production of devices for filtration and catalytic destruction of noxious agents in waste and industrial gases. The first stage of the project comprises research of appropriate chemical composition of the nanofibers, which is sufficiently resistant to chemically and thermally aggressive properties of waste gases. The catalyst particles must not get released from the nanofiber layer. The stability tests shall be focused on the assessment of thermal degradation rates, analyses of potential decomposition products and evaluation of their noxious effects. The optimal materials matching a specific application will be manufactured into filters, which will be passed for filtration parameter measurements and pilot tests in real filtration facilities."@en .
