"*Exhaust exhalation reduction and efficiency growth of coal power plants are the driving force of new high temperature steel research. For the present power stations were characteristic inlet temperatures of steam in turbine 540565C. However, in last years temperatures are increased up to 600C. The increasing of steam parameters from existing (540C/18MPa) to subcritical parameters (610C/30MPa) causes efficiency benefit about 8% and lowering the CO2 emission about 20%.Project solution will be directed on adoption of progressive technology, metallurgy and forging processes of perspective (912)%Cr steel with the aim to attain quality comparable with foreign countries. Important contribution will be determination of short time mechanical properties and, above all, long term creep characteristics of base material and weld metal. Determination of these properties it is possible to appreciate as a very important and with respect to high temperature application of this steel in energy as essential."@en .
