The comprehensive output of the project deals with a general system that can be applied on automated visual inspection of various materials (wood, glass, tires) and that is based on an integration of visual system with an industrial robots creating one moving unit. This will allow visual inspection even for non-movable objects. In general, the system is based on several modules: a module for robot and camera interaction, a module for continuous image analysis and a user-friendly module. These modules concerns significantly with an accelerated development of applications focused on automated visual inspection of various surface materials. This domain belongs to the current research area in the world and it represents a strong innovative potential.
