"The aim of the project is to reduce the losses and to anhance the production assurance of young stages of carp,three herbivorous fishes and some other fish species. The problem of their initial feeding will be tested utilising non-traditional procedures based on the application of artemia nauplii, decapsulated artemia eggs and cultured rotifers. Optimum and lethal values of water temperature, pH and free ammonia will be investigated, including their impact on food ingestion, growth and ontogenetic development. Particular attention will be given to the assessment of differencies supposed especially concerning low temperatures in early fry of individual original population, strains, races and farm hybrids of carp."@en .
