"The problems of new genetic and breeding methods for starting breeding material of peas (Pisum sativum L.) with extended genetic variability (genetic and phenotype markers, resistance, quality) will be studied. The groups of genotypes evaluated from thepoint of their electrophoretic characteristics, yielding ability and stability, protein content, trypsin inhibitors, phenotype characteristics as well as the resistance to most important diseases (Fusarium,Mycosphaerella, Phoma, Ascochyta, Rhicoctonia) are considered to be the main object of this project. The different biochemic and genetic markers will be used in breeding process and heredity connected with correlation relationships evaluated. Genetic and breeding contribution of resistance to diseases in comparison to yielding potencial, stability and quality will be reviewed.
