. . . . "The research project aims at understanding the mechanisms of energy transport from the solar interior to the solar corona. The magnetic energy accumulated eventually in the corona can give rise to solar eruptions. Intended objective should be accomplished via detailed research in the dynamics of plasma and magnetic field in the inter-laying atmospheric layers. We will use the approach that combines advanced analysis of observed spectro-polarimetric data with realistic simulations. We target our effort namely on rich small-scale dynamics of solar magnetic fields revealed quite recently by advanced space-born (e.g., Hinode, Solar Dynamics Observatory/SDO) as well as ground-based (e.g. Dutch Open Telescope/DOT) devices that allow for observations with so far unprecedented spatial resolution. In a narrower sense, the aim of the project is understanding observed phenomena in the frame of newly formed model based on the simulations of the dynamics of magneto-plasmas in the solar photosphere and chromosphere and its consequences for the energy transfer across the the solar-atmosphere layers via magnetic coupling. The model that shall result from the project will be tested against the observed high-resolution spectro-polarimetric data and its sophisticated analysis \u2013 the spectro-polarimetric inversions. More generally speaking, the project also aims at the formation of an international team that will couple together the different competences required for the project accomplishment. Thus, the research team at the AI Ondrejov has rich experience with the high-resolution MHD simulations of the processes in the higher level of the solar atmosphere. On the other hand, the Austrian part of the international team has strong competences in observations and analysis of the phenomena related to the small-scale solar magnetism.
