"The overall aim of the project is to strengthen scientific competitiveness in nanoscale reactivity of new knowledge based materials for environmental applications, sustainable energy systems and sensor nanoelectronics technology. In the frames of this project the new type of nanostructered materials based on Pd-Pt-SnO2-x will be prepared and its interaction with hydrogen and carbon monoxide will be studied. Applications in catalysis and sensing technology are expected. The project will be based on complementary knowledge of participating partners in the field of experimental physics and chemistry (i) and in first-principle calculations and MC modeling (ii). Cooperation will permit to obtain results which could not be achieved separately. The project will use results obtained on model systems to analyze more complex real systems and to optimize them. The project results will be published in peer review journals and will be presented at international conferences."@en .
