For the production of lines utilizable in practical legume breeding, both conventional and biotechnological/molecular genetic methods will be used. Breeding lines derived by traditional (non-GM) as well as biotechnological methods (GM) will be characterized in detail phenotypically, phytopathologically, chemically/biochemically, and analysed by genomic and proteomic approaches. The most progressed lines will be proved in feeding tests of monogastric animals and promising materials will be immediately included into breeding programmes."@en . .
