"2011-12-31+01:00"^^ . "The project is aimed at verification of laboratory and field methods for evaluation of wheat and barley lines with different level of drought tolerance. The water deficit will be determined as water use efficiency by leaf gas exchange, by intensity of photosynthesis and by content of endogenous abscisic acid. The lines with different levels of previously mentioned parameters will be evaluated using the expression of Cor/Lea genes and dehydrin spectra in plants grown in pots under two different water regimes. The size of root system will be estimated according to electric capacity in field conditions in all evaluated lines. The above mentioned parameters will be compared with the results of field trials set in one location on two places with different water availability in soil, and also with the results of state varietal trials from various locations.
