"Selection agents will be derived from serious pathogens of peas (Fusarium solani f.sp. pisi, Mycosphaerella pinodes), faba bean (F. solani, f. sp. viciae fabae, Ascochyta fabae), and lupin (F. solani, f.sp. lupini, Colletotrichum gleosporioides), aimingto their suitability for utilisation in selections of embryogenic and organogenic cultures in vitro. The three types of selective agents (crude autoclaved filtrate, consequently filtered solution of metabolites, elicitors derived from fungal cell wall components) will be searched for their effects in the in vitro cultures (morphological and physiological changes, content of pathogenesis-related proteins). The reactions in vitro will be compared to the effects of inoculations in vivo. The lines selectedfrom in vitro cultures will be analysed for the content of PR proteins, polymorfism of isoenzymes and DNA and DNA content.
