"The main aim of the project is focused on increasing parametres of grain quality in winter wheat and triticale using wide crosses. First, the collection of various species will be studied. Parametres of bread-making quality, protein content, technological values of grain in various species of wheat will be investigated. The most valuable donors of grain quality will be used for wide hybridization with intensive cultivars of wheat and triticale. It will provide selection of donors with improved bred-making grain quality, particulary leavels of storage protein and viscoelastic properties of gluten. The transfer of perspective genes into the genomes of wheat and triticale using wide hybridization with selected donors of Triticum genus will improve the bred-making quality of grain. Prediction of selected characters of grain quality using genetic markers. Cytogenetic control of transfer of perspective genomes or parts of them.
