"There are no available data about the amount of dinitrogen fixation in the total balance of nitrogen in Czech republic. Aproximately estimated figure about 40-60 kg N/per ha and year could be very diferent comparison with realy fixing dinitrogen throughleguminous plants. To make the total nitrogen balance more realistic, the measurement of nitrogenase aktivity is necessery. The aim of our investigation is developing method of field measurement dinitrogen fixation, which could be used in all balances o f nitrogen. On the other hand is highly erroneous to spend considerable parts of our income for the purchase of nitrogen fertilizers that could be obtained at negligibe cost by more efficient use of symbiotic nitrogen fixing organisms in the time when the nitrogenous fertilizers are more and more expensive."@en . . .
