High-quality international scientific communication and scientific journals must play a role in the strategy aimed at becoming a member of EU. The aim of the 2000 - 2002 project is to ensure timely publishing of the scientific journal, to make the editorial procedures yet more efficient in terms of time and quality of the peer review process. This is expected to result in higher citation numbers of the papers, and in further integration of Czech veterinary science into the world scientific databases. Timely presentation of research is a criterion for efficiency of granting agencies. It is a prerequisite for scientometric analyses such as provided by the Science Citation Index."@en . . . .
