"The project objective is to utilize the existing building L and the related lots andtheir reshaping into a university research institute focused on research and development in the field of material sciences and competitive engineering. An integral part of the project is a grouping of existing instruments and equipment for the given research fields into newly constructed laboratories and the ensuing additional equipping of the laboratories with new instruments and research equipment in a way that the Institute complies with current demanding requirements for top research in the following fields: a) material research \u2013 with a special focus on nanomaterials and their application and possible application, research and development of new progressive materials, b) competitive engineering \u2013 especially for the field of robotics with mechatronic systems, new machinery propulsion units and mobile devices, safe engineering structures and progressive technologies for processing technical materials.
