"The goal of the SysteMTb project is to establish a Systems Biology framework to understand key features of Mtb and its interactions with the host which in turn will provide new insights and a solid (model based) knowledge for the development of novel strategies to combat tuberculosis. The consorcium plan to generate and integrate quantitative data sets of Mtb: transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, structural genomics, lipidomics, glycomics under different environmental perturbations both in the isolated bacterium, as well as in the bacterium encountering the macrophages. Protein function and structure will be also investigated. Modelling will provide a modelling scaffold to study Mtb internal wiring and dynamic interplay within a host environment."@cs .
