"*The proposed project is directly addressing the issue and its comprehensive solution of spinal diseases in the inter-vertebral regions using recently developed spinal implants and fixators.Coping with such complex issue requires interdisciplinary approach and cooperation between a number of institutions working in different fields.The project deals with the development and production of fully functional prototypes of artificial substitutes using novel materials and surfacings, exploiting the latest findings based on long-term clinical trials accomplished at leading institutions in the field.The outputs of the project will lead to improvements in competitiveness of our manufacturers in the worldwide context and eventually in the increase of exportation in this field.
