"*The proposed project tends to solve, in complexity, the problems of pain states and disorders of carpus, metacarpophalangeal (MCP) and metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joints, being focused mainly to such cases the treatment of which requires replacements to be implanted. The research deals with extensive problems that require interdisciplinary approach and cooperation of a number of scientific and professional institutions of different characters. The project aims to assess objective evaluations of implants which have been used so far and then, based on the research findings in the range of carpus, MCP and MTP joint biomechanics, to assess basic requirements needed for the development of new type implants, and to design the implants. The findings of the project submitted will contribute not only to increase the competitiveness of our production companies and our export to the respective market regions, but also to improve a life quality of the Czech Republic population."@en . .
