"The proposed project will deal with the development and improvement of advanced numerical techniques for computer simulations of multi-material complex fluid flows, especially laser-plasma interactions and high-velocity impacts with respect to the latest advances in the field of multi-material staggered methods, to ensure that the resulting algorithms will be both reliable and robust on one hand, and efficient on the other hand. The project is a continuation of the current research of the applicant, in which some preliminary partial results have been achieved. The developed methods will be incorporated to the existing Prague Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian (PALE) code, which is currently being used for simulations of experiments performed on the PALS laser facility. The quality of the project is guaranteed due to the existing international collaboration of the applicant with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA."@en .
