"Users mobility in wireless networks is provided by automatically initiated handover procedure. For handover purposes, all base stations in a users neighborhood must be monitored continuously. Additionally, a certain amount of radio resources has to be reserved at a target base station for users coming from neighboring cells. All these aspects result to a drop of quality of service. An importance of these problems rises with deployment of new entities such as femtocells or relay stations in wireless networks. By implementation of these entities, amount of signaling overhead rises while users quality of service decreases. A prediction is suitable and convenient approach to cope with these issues while relay stations and femtocells are deployed. The prediction of users behavior, requirements on throughput and quality of service, and prediction of radio channel quality enables fast and efficient management of procedures for mobility of users.
