"Although thallium (Tl) is a highly toxic pollutant, only few studies have dealt with its contamination. Mining and smelting of sulfidic ores is considered by many authors as one of the main sources of anthropogenic Tl. Soils from the vicinities of historical mines and smelters represent accumulators of this element and a possible potential source of input to other compartments of the environment. The area of P\u0159\u00EDbram is due to long-term mining (Pb-Zn-Ag ores) and smelting (Pb) activities exposed toseveral risk elements (Pb, Zn, Cd, As etc.). The presented project will elucidate the geochemical position of Tl in soils of forest, agricultural and fluvial ecosystems and will evaluate the influence of vegetation on Tl contents in the contaminated environment. Using Tl isotopic studies (203Tl, 205Tl) in separate compartments of the environment will enable to identify the influence of biogeochemical processes on its isotopic fractionation. This project presents a first complex study concerning Tl"@en . "0"^^ . "1"^^ . "5"^^ . .
