"Facultative pathogens are involved in a number of diseases of cereals and may often be found together forming a disease complex. The stem-base disease complex includes several causal agents such as eyespot (Oculimacula yallundae and O. acuformis), sharp eyespot (Rhizoctonia cerealis) and brown foot rots (Fusarium graminearum, F. culmorum, F. avenaceum, F. poae, Microdochium nivale vars. nivale and majus). Molecular techniques offer the opportunity to dissect disease complexes. The presented work intendsto exploit these opportunities and aims at evaluating the competition and relationships between fungi colonising stem bases. The farming practice (conventional/organic) will be studied as a factor affecting interactions of stem-base diseases. The dynamics of colonisation of these fungi during the growth stages of host plants will be studied too as well as dynamics of the leaf sheaths attacking in the period critical for severity of stem-base diseases. Likewise, the other factors such as soil"@en . . . "eyespot; sharp eyespot; brown foot rot; PCR; conventional farming; organic farming"@en . "2008-12-31+01:00"^^ . "8"^^ . . . "0"^^ .
