"This project solves the problem of influencing vigour and storability of some vegetable species by hydration treatments. The decrease of seed vigour and storability on cell level manifests in loss of cell wall integrity, genetical damages, loss ofenzymatical activity and respiration reduction during early stages of germination. Possibility of positive influence on vigour and storability is associated with occurrence of active cell repair system during hydration stage of germination. Seed samplesof fit vegetable species will be treated by two hydration methods prehydration and priming. After hydration treatment seeds will be rehydrated and stored. The vigour of seed samples will be tested in regular intervals through various direct and indirectdetectingmethods (germination, MTG, laboratory emergence, conductivity, AA - test, respiration activity)."@en . .
