"\"Polychromatic flow cytometry (PFC) offers capability of simultaneous analysis of proteins on single cells. Current technical equipment enables us to detect 9 parameters/proteins at once. Further advance in therapeutic protocols for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is awaited from a patient tailored therapy. Discovery of new prognostic markers and monitoring of a treatment response (minimal residual disease detection) are two areas of intensive research where PFC is expected to contribute significantly. Proposed project will extract candidate genes from DNA microarray metaanalyses and it will test the predictive power of the coded proteins for biological behavior of leukemic cells. PFC allows us to analyze typical expression patterns (evaluation of expresion of proteins in mutual context). In contrast to DNA microarrays, PFC can do so on a single cell level. Comparison of expression patterns between samples will be performed by a statistical approach \"\"probability binning\"\". Project\""@en .
