"The project is aimed at a verification and improvement of existing criteria and at a proposal of new methods for fatigue strength evaluation under multi-channel loading. The PragTic software built by the submitter as a research tool for fatigue analysis under complex loading will be used. A large set of published experimental data will be compiled. New methods for shear stress decomposition on examined planes and for inclusion of a mean stress effect will be proposed on the basis of the data compiled. Methods for an evaluation of influence of a stress state in close proximity of the point examined will be developed. This is an essential part for fatigue analysis on any real engineering structures. An extension of validity of the criteria proposed towards limited fatigue life will be evaluated.It is obvious from the past work that the set of validation experiments gathered has to expand continuously.
