"The project focuses on research of energy efficient equipment and systems encountered with the indoor environment engineering that serve to create suitable indoor environment for building occupants; to reach thermal, as well as aerosol, odour, microbial and light intensity comfort, or the technology required environmental conditions. The research deals with ventilation, heating and air-conditioning equipment, suitable building structures, and advanced sensors of thermal comfort. The means to save energy are: controlled air/heat supply and removal, development of building structures and materials of decent properties, solar energy utilisation, storing of heat/cold, and appropriate measurement and control of the environment state. The research will be conducted both experimentally and with the use of computational modelling. Experiments will employ advanced measuring techniques and in-house developed visualization techniques.
