"The plant communities form spatial arrangement of habitats, which belongs to important factors affecting composition of animal communities. Soils dwelling dipteran larvae in initial stages of succession were selected as a model for study of these interactions. The reasons for selection of this model system are: The initial succession stages represent very dynamic habitat is formed by a mosaic of various, frequently clearly distinguishable patches. Soil dwelling Diptera are very abundant in initiastages of succession, and their succession changes are closely related to plant community changes. The main questions of proposed study are: how is relation between variability among microsites and total variability of communities of soil dwelling Dipterin initial succession stages; what are interactions of individual microhabitats and species of soil dwelling diptrea in initial succession stages and what is influence of age, area and connectivity of individual microsites on about mentioned relationship"@en . . . .
