P\u0159\u00EDnosem projektu bude ur\u010Den\u00ED druhov\u00E9ho spektra bakteri\u00ED v tr\u00E1vic\u00EDm traktu rozto\u010D\u016F, obohacen\u00ED znalost\u00ED o biologii rozto\u010D\u016F, vy\u0159e\u0161en\u00ED p\u016Fvodu alergenn\u00EDch lysozyme-like protein\u016F a biologick\u00E1 funkce isoenzym\u016F lysozymu. Budou vyhodnocena rizika plynouc\u00ED z patogenicity jednotliv\u00FDch kmen\u016F bakteri\u00ED a z faktu, \u017Ee rozto\u010Di slou\u017E\u00ED pro dan\u00E9 bakterie jako vektory. "Bacteria serve as a nutrient source for stored product mites and are transported through the mite contaminated food and feed. The proposed project focuses on description of bacteria associated with the intestine of stored product mites and participation in nutrient transfer in the gut, estimation of the hazards associated with vectoring and hosting the intestinal bacteria, and proteomical characterization of lysozyme isoforms and lysozyme-like proteins. The specific tasks of the project are: (i) to assess changes in the gut microbial community; (ii) to explain how mite intestine is adapted for lysis and utilization of bacteria; (iii) to identify bacteria in gut appendixes (postcolonal diverticula); (iv) to assess mites living in stored products as vectors of human bacterial pathogens. The project will supply new information on mite biology, symbiotic relationship between mites and bacteria, mite medical and vector importace, biological function of lysozyme isoforms as well as on origin of the lysozyme-like enzymes. This will help to develop new techniques for elimination of mite and bacterial associated hazards in stored food commodities and food safety improvement as symbiotic bacteria may represent targets for application of new acaricides."@en .
