"One of possibilities how to reduce the emission flow of dust particles from farm animal barns is to modify the electrostatic and electric ion micro-climate which can be influenced by ionizing radiation. A high voltage field breaks gas molecules (O2, NH3)into negative light and positive heavy ions. Apart from that, dust particles acquire positive or negative charge. These particles are drawn by the opposite charge of the surface of the floor, windows or any techno logic components in the facility andthey settle on them. As a result it reduces the concentration of airborne dust particles by 30 to 90% and thus it reduces the emission flow into the surrounding environment. The latter indicator has not been determined yet. The use of this method mayresult in other positive effects. The concentration of ammonia is decreased as well as its emission flow and the animal performance may be somewhat enhanced.
