"The subject of this project is experimental and theoretical investigation of elementary chemical reactions of cations and dications using the crossed-beam scattering techniques and quantum chemical calculations, and investigation of energetics and kinetics of formation of organic dications by mass spectrometric techniques. The aim is to provide information on the dynamics, in particular on the collisional mechanism and energy partitioning in products, of various fundamental types of chemical reactions of ions: newly discovered chemical reactions of molecular dications reactions of hydride-ion transfer, p\u00ED-complex formation in reactions of organic cations, and reactions of cations with aromatic molecules. kThe results will contribute to the elucidation of general rules which govern the occurrence of chemical reactions on the molecular level, and to the description of the kinetics of dication formation."@en .
