"During manufacturing and using of technical components material is practically always coincidently exposed to both macroscopic and microscopic stresses. Having a common origin, e.g. in plastic deformation during cold forming, load action etc., theyjointly affect technological, mechanical and physical properties of materials. The knowledge about correlations between macroscopic and microscopic states of stress is essential and indispensable for full comprehension of work hardness, ageing, fatigueand the like. The essence of the proposed project is comprehensive diffraction investigation of macroscopic and microscopic states of residual stress in iron-based materials. It will enable to find correlation between macroscopic and microscopicstresses. The intention of the project is to formulate relationships between macroscopic and microscopic states of stress."@en .
