"The objective of this project is to demonstrate - based on experimental research - that noise spectroscopy is a suitable tool to be used in fast and non-destructive testing of quality, reliability and service life time of solar cells, this unique source of pure energy. In the framework of the project, correlation between the noise spectroscopy and traditional quality and reliability testing parameters, such as charge carrier transport characteristic analysis, DLTS spectroscopy, third harmonic content based testing and photovoltaic scanning based inhomogeneity testing will be demonstrated. By means of elevated temperature and electric field enhanced accelerated degradation, the usefulness of noise parameter based method to forecast the device life time will be shown. Furthermore, the research will focus on the theory of stochastic processes, too. The stochastic model of RTS noise in PN junction structures will be further developed.
