"The aim of the proposed project is to utilize atomistic simulations by molecular dynamics (MD) in 3D to obtain information on a possibility to detect pre-existing nano-voids and nano-precipitates in technical materials by means of comparison of the scattered stress waves in the perfect and defect crystals. This information could be useful for acoustic non-destructive testing of defects in nano-structured materials. Further, we plane MD-studies of the influence of Cu-nano-particles on stability of cracks and nano-voids in 3D bcc iron crystals.
