"Principal aim of the project is to determine the influence of the stress waves propagation in solid bodies with expressive non-linear or/and anisotropic material properties under the existence of geometrical discontinuities. Especially a quantitative evaluation of the plastic zones influence at places of the geometrical discontinuities, as e.g. crack tips, combined with inner contact and impact, e.g. at the crack faces or in structure contact joints, will be of interest. As a next factor a possible material orthotropy will be considered. Collecting data enabling the prediction of conditions for material failure development (e.g. crack propagation) under impact loading in both types of materials will be, besides other, a main aim of the project.
