"The objective of this project is to develop an improved analytical methodology for vibration and dynamic stress analysis of power and nuclear piping systems with energy absorbing supports. The possible interactions with related components as vessels, tanks, pumps etc. will be taken into account. The proving tests on the test model will be performed to verify the accuracy of calculation results. The pressure pulsations generated by the main circulation pumps, fluid flow effects and seismic events willbe considered as excitation sources. The results of this project will be used for the enhancement of the safety and reliability of nuclear and power piping systems as well as for planning and realisation of diagnostic measurements and the interpretation of results of pre-operation tests. As the final step a special methodology for the optimization of sizing and allocation of energy absorbing supports for the elimination of above mentioned excitation sources will be developed."@en .
