"Rapid variability of X-ray sources is astrophysically relevant subject, because the characteristic timescales of flux fluctuations are close to the limiting dynamical time-scales of compact sources. Recently, the fact that relativistic effects might be responsible for observing flux variations have been investigated. In this project we would like to study the effect of strong gravitational lensing on rapid varialiability of X-ray sources. In the first part, we would study lightcurves and power-spectra of oscillating tori in X-ray binary sources.
