"The goal of the project is the acquirement of knowledge concerning a targeted preparation of aqueous polymer dispersions with unique properties. The dispersions will consist of new nanocomposite polymers containing chemically bound inorganic nanomaterials. On the basis of the results obtained in both the fundamental research and internal projects, an industrial partner will develop parallel dispersion prototypes. A well-defined architecture of nanocomposite materials with particles under 100 nm will impart properties available for production of adhesives and coatings, such as antibacterial effects, a decrease in dirt retention, an improvement of adhesion and hardness. Within the scope of the proposed project, novel methods for the preparation of new double layered hydroxides and their characterization will be developed.
