"0"^^ . "Project aimes at the improvement of the methods for local weather forecast in the Czech Republic. Special attention is devoted to the Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF). Following methods will be developed and verified: 1. statistical interpretation of the ALADIN outputs, 2. adjustment of the radar-based precipitation and nowcasting of area limited heavy precipitation. The QPF techniques will be based on the connection of outputs that include a) results of the Numerical Weather Prediction model ALADIN, b) quantitative radar-based precipitation estimates, c) ground measurement of precipitation and other meteorological variables. The activity follows from the results of the research projects supported by GA CR, and Swiss NSF. The resultant techniques can be used in the CHMI to improve the operational weather forecast, especially QPF as well as the heavy precipitation warning."@en . . "0"^^ . . .
