"The project is focused on clarification of phenomena associated with wave propagation in bodies made of anisotropic laminates and eventually also metals. The effort will be devoted at first to elucidation of physical properties of Rayleigh-type waves propagating in common anisotropic materials having orthotropic, transversely isotropic and cubic symmetry. In this case it is assumed that an internal material structure has an impact on macromechanical behaviour only. Simultaneously the attention will be paid to the failure and damage of strips (with stress concentrators) made of single and multi-layer materials. Also the research will focus on the nonstationary behaviour of thin laminated plates due to low-velocity impact. The problems will be studied using analytical, numerical and experimental approaches. Available criteria, such as Puck's or the LaRC02 criterion, for the prediction of the failure will be used. The criteria will be prospectively modified, if necessary."@en . "4259"^^ .
