"The role of molecular architecture and specific interactions in self-assembly of biomedically relevant complexes of natural oligomers with synthetic polymers and in the subsequent formation of clusters, aggregates and precipitate of these complexes will be investigated by various methods such as dynamic and static light scattering, UV-VIS and fluorescence spectroscopy, heterodyne laser Doppler electrophoresis, and phase solubility analysis. Two types of complexes will be invetigated: (i) inclusion complexes of natural and modified oligosaccharides with linear water-soluble nonionogenic homopolymers and block copolymers, (ii) complexes of oligonucleotides with water-soluble diblock and graft copolymers of hydroxypropyl methacrylamide and cationic monomers with amino or quaternary ammonium groups in their side chains.
